Between pumpkin bowling, spider weaving, ghost making, and spider handprints, we had a very nice time! FIrst graders were EXTREMELY excited for today! Everyone looked so nice! Enjoy! We had such a blast learning about the life cycle of a pumpkin. The highlight was when we dissected a real pumpkin! Students were so excited to be scientists and record their observations and data.
Today we were practicing comparing numbers and writing the correct math sentences with the correct signs!
Parents! Is anyone willing to donate a pumpkin to our classroom? We're looking for a medium to large size pumpkin (think basketball size or a tad bigger), but not too large! I have to be able to lift it :) We are going to dissect a pumpkin next week!!! Please do not tell your child what exactly we're going to do with it though, I'm going to SURPRISE them with it. If you are willing, please email me: [email protected]
Oh, the age of technology! As you all know, we are using iPads everyday in school. I stumbled across this website that seems really good for app recommendations. One can search for apps to purchase at home by grade level, subject, ratings, device, etc. Check it out! It seems like it is a good tool for you to use at home. Please always review apps before you let your child play. Hope this helps!
Come and help clean up Graebner's playground!
We are using money to help reinforce skip counting! Students used nickels and dimes. We |
